Missouri Critical Incident Support Network (CISN)
Supporting Missouri’s First Responders
First responders are the backbone of Missouri’s emergency response system, often witnessing and experiencing more trauma during their careers than most experience in a lifetime. Missouri’s Critical Incident Support Network is a new initiative dedicated to providing critical incident support to first responders, with a special focus on reaching areas that currently lack these important resources. CISN is dedicated to ensuring first responders have access to the mental health support they need, when they need it most.
With 10 regional teams, we will offer:
- Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
- Peer and Family Support
- Education and Resources
CISN will focus on regions that do not have local teams and will seek to collaborate with existing peer teams to share resources, training, and best practices, ensuring a coordinated response, especially during large-scale incidents.
CISN partners with the First Responder Provider Network to ensure first responders have access to behavioral health professionals who are dedicated to serving their needs.
Together, will can ensure that Missouri’s First Responders are supported and equipped to thrive.
