Bio
Dr. Kristin Parkinson is originally from Carrollton, MO, and has lived in Columbia since 1996.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Missouri in 2000. She went on to graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 2004 and completed her residency training in psychiatry through the University of Missouri in 2008. Dr. Parkinson is a Tiger through and through!
Following her residency, Dr. Parkinson worked in community mental health for 8 years. She provided care for a wide range of patients throughout mid-Missouri and gained a vast knowledge of diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders.
In July 2016, Dr. Parkinson joined Dr. Nittler in private practice to serve the growing mental health needs of Columbia and the surrounding areas. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Parkinson has a special interest in the treatment of women's reproductive mental health and the unique needs of emergency first responders.
