I am a Licensed Counselor in private practice in St. Charles, MO and have been for almost 12 years. Prior to that I worked in community mental health that provided a very strong foundation for my practice today. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a Certified First Responder Counselor. I have always had a strong interest in trauma and in the last few years, I have found that working with First Responders is a strong skill set of mine. I feel I have a solid understanding of this line of work and how it also affects life outside of wearing the uniform. In 2021, I completed a 50-hour certification course in helping First Responders and their mental health. I understand that building trust in a provider can be a challenge, but I am confident that I can provide a safe, comfortable and confidential place to work through the challenges of your job. I pride myself on remaining calm in any situation and having the ability to not be shocked by many things. I understand that anxiety, stress and depression can be part of the job and at times you may feel like you are the only one who has challenges in coping with your job, but I can assure that’s not the case! In the coming year, it is my goal to continue to gain more and more knowledge and other treatment modalities to continue to treat trauma. You don’t have to go at this alone and I am here to be a steppingstone for better mental health. I accept most insurances and am happy to talk about other options as well for the First Responder community.
