Bio

My name is Mark Wardlow. I am a licensed therapist and veteran of the United States Army. During my military service, I deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. I specialize in working with current/prior military, first responders, and helping all individuals with taking control back over their emotional states. Whether you are dealing with symptoms of trauma, managing daily life stressors, relational problems, etc., I use my part experience with my education to help me meet you where you are and learn skills that can be very helpful in taking over control of your emotions. Therapy in my practice isn't just about talking about your week or learning some coping skills to use when you are already feeling these unwanted emotions, but rather, we learn skills to help in preventing the unwanted emotions from coming in the first place. The therapy approach is largely based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills, but without all of the "talk therapy" that can sometimes go into that. In therapy with me, we look to help you solve problems, fix issues whether it be at work or home, and help you get back to a place of independence. My goal is to work myself out of a job, and I want you back out there, on your own, with the confidence that you can handle anything thrown your way, and the emotions that may also come along with it. Please feel free to reach out if you feel like I may be of some help to you!
