Sheena Kirkendoll is dually licensed in the state of Missouri and Kansas as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC), and Certified Reciprocal Advance Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC). She is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) certified, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in Training, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II, and certified to provide Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) assessments. Sheena is a Park University graduate and has been providing clinical services in the Kansas City area for many years. She has a background in medical social work, outpatient substance use disorder treatment, and inpatient psychiatric care. Currently, she is the owner of Clinical Counseling Associates, a three-location private practice located in Liberty, Missouri, Mission, Kansas, and Northland/Zona Rosa, Missouri. Sheena has personal experience with the first responder and military population due to having several family members providing this important service. This personal and professional experience allows Sheena to provide exceptional care to this population. In addition to providing individual care, Sheena created a specialized team within the practice to work with the first responder and military population. As a result, Sheena and the practice are known for their work with this population and are preferred providers for several local police departments, the Kansas City Fire Departments, and military personnel. She recognizes the importance of rapport and trust when formulating these therapeutic relationships. Trust creates the foundation to provide quality care and receive the most benefit from services.
