Bio
I’m Susan Rhoads, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and the owner of Peaceful Healing, LLC. With nearly two decades of experience helping individuals recover from trauma and PTSD, I bring a trauma-focused, cognitive-behavioral approach that emphasizes strength, awareness, and healing.
I specialize in working with First Responders—law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, and other public safety professionals—helping them process stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and grief. My work with this community began through an Access Crisis Intervention program, where I was trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and became active in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs across Southwest Missouri. I’ve had the privilege of teaching numerous CIT trainings to law enforcement officers and collaborating with departments to enhance resilience and mental health support.
In addition to First Responders, I work with Veterans and other professionals impacted by trauma and chronic stress. As a Certified Trauma Professional, I integrate Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy to help clients find clarity and balance. I believe healing happens through connection—between mind and body, therapist and client—and my goal is to walk beside you on that journey toward peace, purpose, and renewed strength.
Please reach out if I can support you or your department. I look forward to hearing from you.
