Bio

Dr. Baram, graduated from Tartu University, Estonia in 1992. He completed research fellowship in psychiatry at the University of Toronto and conducted research in Psychiatry prior entering Residency in Psychiatry at St. Louis University. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at St. Louis University Department of Psychiatry in 2004 and Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry in 2005. He served as Chief Resident in his last 2 years of the training. Dr. Baram completed his Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at St. Louis University He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a former Fellow of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry and also a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Missouri Chapter of the American Psychiatric Association, and the Eastern Missouri Psychiatric Association. He is a recipient of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Award and the American Psychiatric Association AADPRT Award. Dr. Baram holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at St. Louis University, as well as being a Clinical Instructor at the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He is currently serving as a Chairman and Medical Director of Psychiatry at the South City Hospital at St. Louis, MO. Dr. Baram has over 17 years of experience in treating clients in the outpatient and inpatient settings with variety of psychiatric problems. His area of expertise is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, bipolar disorder, Major depression, comorbid chemical dependency problems, Binge Eating problem, schizophrenia and variety other mental health issues.
